Ronchetti Closes Fundraising Gap with Incumbent Governor
Former DGA Chair and “Professional Politician” is Neck-in-Neck with Political outsider Ronchetti
Albuquerque, NM – After out-raising the incumbent governor during the last reporting period, Mark Ronchetti once again matched Michelle Lujan Grisham’s fundraising. Ronchetti raised more than $2.4 million during the last two months while Grisham, a self-described “Professional Politician”, barely raised $2.6 million. The former DGA chair is nearly neck-in-neck with political outsider Mark Ronchetti.
Ronchetti has closed the gap in available campaign cash with Grisham for the final stretch of the campaign.
Since Ronchetti entered the race last October, 94% of his contributions have come from within the state and 90% of contributions have been for $250 or less. In stark contrast, Lujan Grisham has been forced to rely on out-of-state and special interest dollars from people like Melinda Gates.
“New Mexicans are supporting us in record numbers with small checks written at dining room tables throughout the state, and I’m so grateful for their support,” said Ronchetti. “From crime to education to out-of-control costs for gas and groceries, there’s a better way. It’s time for change and we have unbelievable momentum with just two months left.”
Lujan Grisham and her special interest left-wing allies have spent millions of dollars distorting Ronchetti’s positions and character, and the incumbent still hasn’t approached 50% of the vote in any of the available polling.
