BREAKING: Former Governor Gary Johnson Endorses Mark Ronchetti
2016 Libertarian Presidential nominee says state will benefit from Ronchetti’s fresh look at the issues

Albuquerque, NM – Today, Mark Ronchetti is announcing that former Governor Gary Johnson is endorsing him in the race for New Mexico Governor. The endorsement is just the latest example of support for Ronchetti’s campaign from prominent figures outside of the New Mexico Republican party. Gary Johnson was the libertarian nominee for president in 2016.

“I’m voting for Mark Ronchetti to be the next governor of New Mexico. I think crime, education, and the economy will benefit from a fresh look at the issues New Mexico faces. I think the fact that, arguably, New Mexico had the most restrictive pandemic shutdown of all 50 states will adversely affect our economy for many years to come,” said Johnson, regarding his endorsement in the race.

“I am humbled to have earned the endorsement of Governor Johnson in this race,” said Ronchetti. “To win in November, it will take all of us, and our team is showing that we have built a coalition of Republicans, Libertarians, Democrats, and Independents who want what is best for New Mexico. Governor Lujan Grisham has spent the last four years dividing our people. If we want to lift New Mexico up, we need to come together to solve our problems like skyrocketing crime, our failing education system, and an economy that is destroying our working class.”

Governor Johnson’s endorsement comes just days after New Mexico law enforcement leaders endorsed Ronchetti and his crime plan which cracks down on repeat offenders and ends catch and release.
